Submitted Story From Monica Grimm in North Carolina

I have also experienced some strange things in my life, some of it according to my mother, has been happening since birth. Are the stories that she tells me true, I don't know since I can't remember them, but the ones that I can remember scare me to this day. I have three in all, and two are somewhat related.

I lived in a place called York PA. It 's a nice town with a lot of history involving the Civil War. When I was 13, I started to get interested in the Ouija board and other things that are related to it. I've always been curious about the unknown being that I was sensitive to it. (No I'm not a psychic) Anyway, while messing with this board I endured hell. One time I woke up in the dead of winter, totally naked and bruised from head to toe with no explanation. I've had objects fly across the room at me, I've heard voices and footsteps (typical haunts), I've seen a pair of eyes looking right at me, and my cat started acting real strange, as though he was scared. When I got pregnant at 15, things didn't really get worse, they just happened more often. Once I had my daughter, my cat (Rayden) would always stand guard over her while she was sleeping, and wouldn't leave her until myself or my parents got her out of her crib. It was as if he was protecting her from someone or something that I wasn't aware of. (For those people who believe that you shouldn't have a cat around a newborn, you're wrong. As long as you keep your cat fed and give it the same attention, your cat and baby will be best friends)

I also had a friend of mine who's house was haunted. She had at least three that made themselves known. One was of a child, another was an old lady, and the third was an evil man. The old lady and the child were never harmful. The old lady told my friends oldest daughter that I was having a girl while I was pregnant, while the doctors told me that I was having a boy. The old lady was right. But the man was something to be feared. He would bang on the walls, and knock stuff down on her 1 year old baby. Once her and I were in the kitchen having tea, and we heard someone banging on the cellar door from inside the cellar. We knew that it couldn't be anyone down there since the only way in the cellar was through the kitchen, and her husband was at work, children at school, and the baby was in the dining room. the pounding got louder, and we heard this evil laugh coming from down there. We got the baby out of the bassinet and ran out of there to my house. A few hours later, my boyfriend and I went up to her place to get the baby's diaper bag and bottles, and when we walked into the second door leading to the dining room, we saw a man standing at the top of the stairs looking at us smiling. I moved away right after my daughter was born, so I don't know if anything more happened in her house or not, but I learned later that she finally convinced her husband to move out.

My final story is of a place called Raymeirs Hollow in Red Lion PA. The story about this place is that a man named Raymeir and his neighbor Blotameyer owned most of what Red Lion is today a long long time ago. Rumor had it that both men were after the other's land, and that both men were warlocks. They got into a battle, and Blotameyer killed Raymeir then burned his home to the ground. Now a days people go up there because it's haunted by Raymeir and his land is cursed. I have a native american friend who claims that Raymeir made himself seen by my friend in a cornfield. He claims that Raymeir had asked for him (my friend) to come to him (Raymeir). When my friend said no, the cornfield closed back up. It's also said that if you place a Holy Bible on the foundation of Raymeirs house, the Bible will burst into flames.

I now live in North Carolina. I used to think that nothing could get worse that what happened in PA,, but I was wrong. The area that I lived in was a heavy slave area, and if the night is right, you can sometimes see the souls of the wrongfully murdered slaves walking along specific areas , and on some nights you can even see the gallow pole from which they were hung by. But you don't have to be sensitive to the spiritual world to feel the sorrow in this area from what went on here. Those feelings are as thick and as real as the mosquitoes around here.
